The Stars are Big and Bright... Austin, Texas

I had the chance to run away for a few days and visit my sister in Austin, Texas. An easy flight. some good food, great pictures and special people, it was a perfect getaway.

My sister and I got to see one the happiest dogs I have ever met at The Barton Springs, he would just enjoy nothing more to swim upstream. To the proud dog owner who asked for pictures, just contact me and I will get you the rest of photographs of your wonderful dog.

The view of downtown Austin from Zilker Park.

My sister in Zilker Park.

3 of my favorite photos from the trip, the Texas Capitol Building in Austin, Texas.

The view directly above you, in the middle of the rotunda of the capitol building.

The Medallion in the floor at the center of the rotunda, I consider myself a history buff, but I had no idea of the depth of the rich history Texas has. Just reading some the plaques and hearing what my sister has learned, as I walked around the capitol building really gave me an insight into what Texas has been through. Again, just a completely perfect few days, and big thanks to my sister and her husband for being such gracious hosts!

Smoke over the Sunset Harvest

Caught this shot of smoke hanging over freshly harvested corn while out enjoying a 70 degree in November, how often do we get that? A sharp unexpected turn and short walk through the field left me a shot that I truly enjoy.

Throughout the year....

I was doing some post processing and got distracted and ended up going through some of my photographs from the year that have not had any attention from me yet. Here are few from this year that just made it out of Lightroom/Photoshop, enjoy!

I was out geocaching and caught this sunset over the hay.

Jayden after throwing his whiffle ball in the corn and I made him go get it. I was a little surprised he found his own way out.

The biggest double rainbow I have seen in my life, in Denver CO. 4 images stitched together in Photoshop.
